At The Palmerston, we are passionate about the origin of the ingredients we use in our dishes. We work closely with farmers, growers and fishermen - particularly within Scotland - to source the best and freshest produce available. This means our menu changes daily, European-style, to offer seasonal variation and something new to try each time you dine with us.

We buy whole animals and prepare them in-house in our butchery so we can minimise waste and showcase lesser-used cuts on our menu. Many of our fruits and vegetables come from local farms that are committed to responsible and sustainable growing, including Phantassie and The Free Company, located just outside Edinburgh. We also have our own bakery, where we make fresh bread and pastries daily.

We add £1 to each bill in support of our house charity, the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.

A Set Lunch Menu is available from Tuesday to Friday (excluding December and 1st January) - 2 courses £21/3 courses £24

For parties of 10 and above we offer a reduced a la carte menu priced at £48 per head for 3 courses.

The largest table that we can accommodate is 12 guests, anything larger than this requires a private hire of the restaurant. Please email to enquire.
